IAN BOTHAM
A collection of Sir Ian's favourite regional wines from the classic premium producing regions in Australia. Each wine is personal to Sir Ian and represents a pivotal moment in his cricketing career life.
1981 when he led England to victory in the Ashes, still affectionately known as the "Botham Ashes". 1976, the year he first scored 1000 runs in a season and played for the famous Melbourne Cricket Club and 1980 when he became the first player to take 10 wickets and score a century in a single match.
All relatively pivotal moments in a cricketing career!
After an early introduction to wine, knowing only what Cider was, Ian Botham used his spare time on tours to sample as many wines as he could developing life long relationships along the way. Often talking about making wine with winemaker friends but not doing so until 2001 with the Geoff Merrill BMW range releases and finally developing his own range of wines.
"People ask me what Iām looking for in a good wine and the answer is simple. It must taste exceptional and offer good value for its price tag. I believe each of my wines delivers that and I hope you agree!" - Sir Ian Botham
